Welcome to the It's All Good Radio Programs webpage.

Project page on Sourceforge

These are the programs I use to run the It's All Good Radio internet radio station.

The programs included are:

  • DiscJockey - selects songs from the database to be played by 'ices' based upon how many tracks by that artist and how long it's been since the last track was played.
  • InsertList - adds tracks to the database.
  • log - cgi program to generates web pages to find out what songs were played at a certain time on certain days.
  • playlist - cgi program to generates web pages to display information on all artists and tracks played.

I have run the programs on the following operating systems:

  • FreeBSD
  • Linux

There are two generations of systems, the first generation I used MySQL for the database and the disc jockey and web page generation cgi programs all accessed the MySQL database. I found that web page hits took too long to access the database so the second generation stores the data in flat files (still relational) and has a program running that maintains and distributes the information.

If you have problems, comments, etc. please contact me at sedwards@xmission.com or visit my web page at http://www.qrwsoftware.com.
